Getting started
How much does an epoxy garage floor cost?
Every garage is different, so we give free quotes instead of a set price. Cost depends on the size of the garage, the condition of the concrete, how much crack repair it needs, and whether you choose flake or metallic. Call or send the quote form and we will get back to you with a price.
What areas do you serve?
We are based in McKinney and serve every town within about 30 miles, including Frisco, Plano, Allen, Prosper, Wylie, Lucas, Celina, Van Alstyne, Anna, Melissa, Princeton and Fairview.
What types of floors do you install?
We install full-broadcast flake epoxy floors and metallic epoxy floors for garages, and UV-stable coatings for patios.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes. Every floor comes with a 5-year warranty against cracking and peeling.
Installation
How do you prepare the concrete?
We diamond grind the whole floor. That removes the top layer of concrete along with old sealers and stains, and opens the surface so the coating bonds into it instead of sitting on top.
How long does installation take?
Most garages are done in two days. You can usually walk on the floor after 24 hours and park on it after 48 to 72 hours.
Do I need to empty my garage?
Yes, the floor needs to be clear before we start. We can talk through what to move when we give you a quote.
Do you protect against moisture in the slab?
Most of our installs include a moisture vapor barrier primer, which helps prevent coating failure caused by moisture coming up through the slab.
Durability and care
How long will the floor last?
With normal care, a residential floor typically lasts 15 to 20 years.
Will oil and chemicals stain it?
No. The finished surface is non-porous, so oil, antifreeze and most household chemicals wipe right up.
Will it yellow in the sun?
No. We finish with a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat that won’t yellow, even with the garage door open in a Texas summer.
Can you coat an outdoor patio?
Yes. Outdoors we use a UV-stable polyaspartic system instead of standard epoxy, because standard epoxy can yellow in direct sun.
Is a flake floor slippery?
Flake floors have a light texture that gives good grip, even when wet. Metallic floors are smoother, and we can add an anti-slip additive to the topcoat.
